My surname is Hong, last name is Lim, my mother was dead and I decided to call my shop as Honglim.
There is the picture of my father on this sign, with my mother’s surname and my name too.
A sign made by Professor of Design Department at the University of Seoul by my intention.
It was not just a sign that was made out of red stamp engraved on it.
It’s a kind of stamp and there is no other letter. So my mom and son keep going together.
It’s a picture which was taken in 1961 or 1962, when Japanese tourists came to Korea for the first time as a result of the Korea-Japan talks.
Not only 365 days but always my mother will be here with me if I keep this store.
